Su from So is a popular Indian Kannada movie which was released on 25th July 2025. Su From So is one of the blockbuster movie in the Kannada industry. This movie has been directed and written by J.P.Thuminad, and meanwhile he also has played the lead role in the movie. This movie has achieved the highest grossing film in the Kannada film industry. So there was a big expectation for it to stream on OTT or digital platforms. And finally, the movie was released in the OTT on 9th September 2025. J.P.Thuminad, Raj B Shetty, Shaneel Gautham, Mime Ramdas, Prakash Thuminad and many others have played significant roles. This movie was set to be released on 9th September 2025 and possibly in the JioHotstar. Since this movie is the original Kannada based movie, the movie was dubbed into Telugu and Malayalam. But the movie was not released in either Hindi nor Tamil in the OTT. 

This movie still holds the highest grossing revenue kannada film of the year and 6th highest grossing movie in the Kannada film industry. The movie has made the Box Office collection of Rs. 121 crores and has been released on Airtel Xtream and Jio Hotstar with the regional languages of Kannada(original), Telugu and Malayalam. And out of all the expectations, the movie was released on the OTT platforms on September 9, 2025.

Why Su From So is not available in Hindi & Tamil versions on OTT?

The movie was released in digital platforms(OTT) on September 9th September was dubbed and released in Telugu, kannada and Malayalam only, because this movie dubbed rights has been sold to these two languages only. Once the theatrical release for the movie has been formatted, a week later, a Malayalam dubbed version was available for the movie, and one more another week, the Telugu dubbed version was available. 

The movie was initially handled and distributed as a horror comedy. But once the movie was released in the theatres, it turned into a comedy horror. Sulochana from Someshwar is the expansion of this movie title Su From So, since the producer has felt that the movie title is too lengthy. This movie was created with the budget of Rs. 5.5 crores but still the gross income of the movie was around Rs. 125 crores. 

The kannada filmmaker NS Rajkumar has bought the rights for the Tamil version of the movie, but yet not making any involvement to make the Tamil dubbed version and release it either of the platforms. Su from So was previously set to be released in the theatres on September 5th 2025, but somehow JioHotstar has chosen 9th September 2025, though it is one of the most expected movies among the peoples. Anyhow this movie is one the first kannada movie to be released in the platform of JioHotstar, after the merging of Hotstar and JioCinemas. After releasing in the OTT, this movie has attracted many comedy film fans and horror movie fans, and also got good ratings in the OTT  platform and is added into the Must – Watch film for the comedy fans.
