Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is a 2025 Indian Malayalam language film with the mixture of horror and super heroine film which was written and directed by Dominic Arun. This film was produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner Wayfarer Films. Kalyani Priyadarshan who acted a lead role under the name “Chandra” , a suspicious woman who lives in Bangalore and gets stuck with a gang who is involved in Organ trafficking. This movie features Naslen in the lead male role with Sandy Master, Arun Kurian and Chandu Salim Kumar and other actors as supporting roles.The Cinematography past was handled by Nimish Ravi and Chaman Chakko handled the editing part. Jakes Bejoy was the Music Director for this film. Lokah was released in theatres on 28th August 2025 with a total duration of 151 minutes.

Kalyani Priyadarshan, who has a lead role, acted as Chandra Ananya and Kalliyankattu Neeli, and a Yakshi whose voice got dubbed by Sayanora Philip. Durga C. Tovino Thomas who appeared in the cameo role, acted as Chathan and an unknown man in the cave. Anna Ben, Sunny Wayne, Vishak Nair, Nishanth Sagar, Abraham Vadakkan. Vijay Menon, Soubin Shahir, Sanathy Balachandran, Ahaana Krishna and Balu Varghese, these are all the people who have appeared in the Cameo role.

RELEASE DATE OF LOKAH: CHAPTER 1 – CHANDRA

The movie Lokah was released in the theatres on 28th August 2025. This movie was dubbed and released in Telugu, Hindi , Tamil and Kannada as well. Sithara Entertainments served the film in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. AGS Entertainment served the film in Tamil Nadu. Lighter Buddha Films served the movie in Karnataka, while Pen Studios served the movie in the northern part of India. 

BUDGET FOR LOKAH: CHAPTER 1 – CHANDRA

The Budget for the movie Lokah 1 : chapter 1 – chandra was set to be Rs. 30 Crores , while the estimation of the Box Office collection has revenue around Rs.275 crores.

The movie’s promo song which was titled to be Thani Lokah Murakkari ,with the duration of 3 minutes 53 seconds,  was sung by Jyoti Nooran of Jyoti Sisters which is in her Malayalam debut. The track which was composed by Jakes Bejoy , Rebel handled the rap portions, which carries the lyrics penned by the writer – filmmaker Muhsin Parari, and got credited under Pseudonym “Mu.Ri”. The Second song “Shoka Mookam” with the lyrics of Vinayak Sasi Kumar , and this song was sung by Benny Dayal, Pranavam Sasi and J’mymah with the song length of 2 minutes 51 secs. The total duration for the song section is 6 minutes 44 seconds.

In the introduction scene, Chandra Ananya who gets the suspicious package in the flat in a random city and parallely escapes an encounter with the team of Ishtar. In the Present, She navigated from Sweden to Bangalore, where she used to cross paths with Sunny Kurian, who is an unemployed graduate, and along with his friends, Chandra keeps everything to herself who is working night shifts, but interfered when her co-worker got attacked, where she revealed her supernatural power.

As an Organ trafficking circle which is handled by the crime boss Gajendran operates with the help of police support, Inspector Nachiyappa who begins his investigation of Chandra. After she got kidnapped and attacked, Chandra transformed into a Yakshi, a supernatural being, and killer has which made her to reveal her real identity: Kalliyankattu Neeli, an empirical vampire who ot recruited by the ancient priest Kadamattathu Kathanar to serve for the Moothon, and he is a secret agent protector of the balance. Sunny, who follows the assailants, has saved Chandra, who has witnessed the murder and faints. 

As Nachiyappa begins turning into a yaksha himself, and her allies go into hiding. After a strike from the government which was led by the special Garuda team, Chandra has defeated Nachiyappa in the cliroptic battle and goes underground, and has promised to return if it’s really needed.

In the Mid-scene, a suspicious ninja – like Odiyan named Charlie – has deleted the trafficking circle. A Post credits communicated the hints that at deeper supernatural forces as Chathan, a goblin, who sets to be questioned about the ancient cave knottled to be his origins.

Chapter 1 ends with the sense of something bigger is about to untie. The peaceful life of Lokah has shown, but there is a lie as a hidden restlessness, a truth that it can stay buried for so long. The first step of the journey has already been taken, and though the solutions are yet so distant, the way has already begun.
