Hridayapoorvam is a 2025 Indian Malayalam language film with the mixture of romantic comedy and drama film. This film was directed by Sathyan Anthikad with a screenplay by Sonu T.P.. This movie is narrated based on the story by Akhil Sathyan. This movie was produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie stars Mohanlal, Malavika Mohanan, Sangitha Madhavan Nair, and Sangeeth Prathap, who has played a significant role in the film, along with Siddique, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan, Baburaj, Nishan and Sabitha Anand and many other has played in a substantial roles. The Cinematography part was handled by Anu Moothedath and the editing part of the film was handled by K. Rajagopal. The Music director of the film is Justin Prabhakaran. Hridayapoorvam was released in the worldwide theatres on 28th August 2025 and gained positive reviews. This movie has officially become a commercially successful movie and currently it is in the fourth- grossing Malayalam film of 2025 and also 20th highest-grossing Malayalam movie of all over the period.

Casting Of Hridayapoorvam

Mohanlal who is a wealthy and irritable businessman and he runs a successful cloud-kitchen in kochi and he has a heart transplant recipient., he played a lead role as Sandeep Balakrishnan. Malavika Mohanan played the lead role as Haritha. Sangeetha Prathap who is Sandeep’s nurse and assistant, acted as Jerry. Sangita Madhavan Nair who is Haritha’s mother acted as Devika. Siddique, who is Sandeep’s brother-in-law, acted as Omanakuttan “O.K”. Lalu Alex, who is a friend of Haritha’s family, played a role as “Pune Jacob”. Janardhanan who is an astrologer, and also sandeep and panicker’s uncle played a role as “Chittappan”. Baburaj who is a brother of Devika, acted as Captain Manoj. Saumya Bhagyan Pilla who is sandeep’s ex-fiancee acted as “Olichodiya” Rajani Mohan. Chandu Naik acted as a kitchen boy, while Faheem B acted as a stranger. Basil Joseph who appeared in the cameo role, acted as Dr.Manu Rameshan. Meera Jasmine who has appeared in the cameo role has acted as the girl with whom Sandeep has fallen in love with. Antony Perumbavoor has appeared in the cameo role as Himself. Anoop Sathyan who has appeared in the cameo role acted as a Bus Passenger and Guest for the wedding. Aniyappan who has appeared in the cameo role has acted as a film actor.

Release date

Hridayapoorvam was set to be released in theatres on 28th August 2025. The post theatrical streaming rights for the movie was acquired by JioHotstar. The movie will stream on the platform from 26th September 2025, in both Malayalam and the dubbed version of Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada languages.

Sandeep Balakrishnan who is a wealthy and irritable businessman who runs a successful cloud kitchen chain in Kochi, and he lives in isolation in spite of his wealth and affluence. After having a heart transplant, he quickly went back to his work, which he dismissed the emotional balance of the surgery. He often says that ‘a heart is only an organ” and keeps irritating those who are around him who keeps expecting gratitude and compassion.

A few weeks later, Sandeep journeyed to Pune to attend the engagement function of Hairtha, the daughter of colonel Ravindranath – Who is the army officer who has given his heart and which has saved life. At the ceremony. Sandeep meets Haritha and her mother Devika, and many of their family friends. His grippy attitude , which includes his insistence that the translation has created no emotional bond, which has unsettled the family. 

During the event, Haritha’s engagement collapsed as when the groom’s family stepped out, humiliating and breaking Devika’s heart. On the same evening, Sandeep has faced an injury during a quarrel. So he was unable to return to kochi, he stayed in pune under the care of the colonel’s family, His assistant and nurse Jerry stayed with him, which often created comic situations with his carefree character.

Sandeep firstly treats the arrangement with irritation, which avoids interaction with the household people. After a few times, the kindness of Haritha and Devika has begun to soften him. He shares his meals with themes, listens to the stories of colonel Ravindranath, and showcases the strength with which they faced the difficulties in their life. Haritha who is still broken by the engagement cancellation, parallely finds confidence again through Sandeep’s support. Devika who treats sandeep like a family member, helps him to regain the emotions that he has denied for a long time.

Jerry’s antics, along with the visits from relatives such Haritha’s jovial uncle Jacob and Sandeep’s brother-in-law Omanakuttan Panicker, which has provided lighthearted interludes which shines with Sandeep’s transformation. These days, Sandeep has begun to realize that his new heart brings more than life , it also carries the love of the colonel, memories, journey and the bond with his family.

As he mingled up with the household, Sandeep has changed from his detached character into a man who enthuses every connection. He helped Haritha to regain her confidence, encouraging her to pursue her career rather than diving into the marriage proposal. In the weather changing sequence, he openly admitted to Devika, that he was afraid of the closeness of all life, and that the heart transplant has not only saved his body but also given a wonderful family, which he thought would be never possible. 

The film ends with Haritha starting her new journey and beginning, leaving everything behind her past and moving forward with hope. Devika, smiling through tears, accepted Sandeep as her family member. In the end scene, Sandeep sits with Haritha and Devika in the courtyard, who is no longer a guest but an acquired permanent member of their lives.
