Balti is an upcoming film with a mixture of Sports action thriller movies. This movie has been written and directed by Debutant Unni Sivalingam. The movie was produced by STK Frames and Binu George Alexander Productions. The movie has been shot parallely in Malayalam and Tamil. Shane Nigam, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Preethi Asrani, Alphonse Puthren and Selvaraghavan played the lead roles.  The movie has been shot in various places like Coimbatore, Palakkad and Pollachi. The songs in the movie were composed by Sai Abhyankkar. The cinematography parts handled by Alex J Pulikkal and the movie edited by V.Panicker. This movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 26th 2025.This film showcasing about the real national and the state- level Kabaddi players, intensifying the originality of its drama.

Shane Nigam played as Udhayan who played the lead role in the movie. Shanthanu Bhagyaraj acted as Kumar, he also played a leading role in the film. Preethi Asrani acted as a female leading actress in the film. Alphonse Puthren played Soda Babu. Selvaraghavan played as Porthamarai Bhairavan.

Release Date for Balti

Balti is about to be set in theatres on 26th September 2025. But the movie was previously scheduled to get released on 29th August 2025  in anticipation of the onam.

The Songs for this movie was composed by Sai Abhyankkar, in his first feature film. The Audio rights were occupied by Think Music. The track “Soda Break” was featured in the teaser introduction for Alphonse Puthuren’s character. The First Single “Jaalakaari” was released on 24th August 2025, which marked the music composer’s debut movie song.

The song “Soda Break” which was released with the length of 1:19. The First Single song “Jaalakari” was written by Vinay Sasikumar and it was sung by Sai Abhyankkar and Sublahshini with the duration of 4:07.

Balti which is centerer on Udhayan(acted by Shane Nigam) a pro Kabaddi player who was caught up in the grappling mix of sport and his personal salvation with the crime infusion drama as well. The story speaks in a plain village between Kerala and Tamil Nadu, where Kabaddi is not just a game , its the life for peoples and a path for life. Udhayan’s Journey takes a confusing turn, which begins with the tense trail against the police, just to find himself facing different signs of battles on the Kabaddi court.  As the origin progresses, Balti makes himself depth into the trope of Friendship, Love ,rivalry, battle, betrayal and the stiff counter for the streets, where there will be a lot of group fights and personal people loyalties collide.

Balti was shaped up to be the foundation fusion of the action, drama and the sport which was set against the wild backdrop of the rural Kabaddi tradition. With a captivating storyline and featuring an escaping turned out to be the athlete, group conflictions, and extreme court fights, appending with the strong group casting and root technical results, it promised to be Shane Nigam’s best aspiring story yet.
