Blackmail(2025)  is a 2025 Indian Tamil language film with a mixture of crime thriller films. The movie was written and directed by Mu Muran. The lead role was played by G V Prakash Kumar and Teju Ashwini, Srikanth and Bindu Madhavi played alongside important roles. This film was produced by Jayakkodi Amalraj under the JDS Film Factory banner. Blackmail movie was released in the theatres on 12th September 2025. The Cinematography part was handled by Gokul Benoy and editing part was handled by San Lokesh.  Sam C S  is the music director for the movie. The Story has been inspired and narrated by true incidents, and the duration of an extra run of 2 hours. Due to some budget issues from the production office, G V Prakash has reduced his salary to half to help the production team to finish the film.

Release Date of Blackmail(2025)

Blackmail movie was released in theatres on 12th September 2025. Previously, the movie was scheduled for release on 1st August 2025 but it was delayed for some reasons.

BLACKMAIL’s movie songs has been composed by Sam C S. The First Song “Othukkiriya” was sung by Nikhita Ganda, and lyrics by Eknath. The second song “Chillana Sirukki” was sung by Kapil Kapilan. The third song “Kaalam Odum” was sung and written by Sam C S. The last song “Yengae Ponayyo” , it was just appeared in the audio promos and the video promos for the movie. 

G.V.Prakash acted as Mani. He works as a pharmaceutical distributor which runs a secret cocaine business. Mani’s girlfriend Rekha( Teju Ashwini) who is working at a pharmacy, has become pregnant. She wants to abort the baby, but Mani is trying to convince Rekha to keep the child, while he promises to take the responsibility. 

While Ashok(played by Srikanth) has a happy family – with his wife Archana(Bindu Madhavi) and a daughter Anu. Meanwhile Srikanth’s daughter got kidnapped by unknown people. Archana has an ex-lover (Linga) who comes back and starts threatening her. As the plot continues, many characters are involved in these threatening issues: Mani was unintentionally sensed to be involved in this kidnap, and the lives of Rekha, Archana, and others get entangled. Mani was forced to deal with these threats, secrets and many moral unstructuring. 

Blackmail movie tries to handle multiple connections – love, betrayal, crime, and morality – into a crime thriller. The movie which was inspired by true incidents, with the concept of drug crimes, kidnaps, and personal relationship struggles. The Lengths is very strongly defined, with straightful tracks that connect through layout of secrecy and betrayal.
